Slave Mode

Reciva Internet Radio Modules support a slave mode of operation. In Slave Mode the module is controlled by an I2C or serial bus instead of via a directly-connected screen and keypad. This allows the module to be integrated into multi-function devices such as DVD players, games consoles, mini Hi-Fi systems etc.

Control:

The Reciva module operation and status commands are implemented via a standard I2C interface or a two wire serial interface. Reciva are adding USB and SPI control busses for future versions of the Slave Mode operation.

Screen Messages:

Messages for display on the screen are sent back over the control bus.

Audio Out:

Reciva Modules output digital audio in I2S format.

Sleep:

Reciva Modules have a sleep mode, which can be used to save power when the Module is not in operation. A dedicated “wakeup” pin is provided to wake modules from sleep.
